AWG 20L Setup Guide

Everything you need to get your AWG 20L up and running — from unboxing to your first glass of water. For full details, always refer to the complete manual below.

Three things to check first

Sheltered placement
Choose a sheltered spot protected from rain and direct sunlight. Indoors is ideal — ensure the space is well ventilated, as the AWG needs a constant supply of fresh, humid air. A covered terrace or shaded outdoor area works too, as long as it stays dry.
Humidity & temperature
The machine needs at least 30% relative humidity and a temperature between 15°C and 45°C to produce water. Output increases significantly in warmer, more humid conditions — tropical environments are ideal. Below the minimum, production stops.
Wait 24 hours after delivery
After unpacking, keep the machine upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. The same applies if it was tilted more than 20° during transport. Skipping this step can damage the compressor and voids the warranty.

Getting it running

1
Unpack & inspect

Remove all packaging and the protective film from the control panel display. Check that the unit is undamaged. Keep the original box for warranty purposes.

2
Position the machine

Stand it upright on a flat floor. Use the wheels on the rear base to roll it into position. Ensure at least 30 cm clearance on all sides.

3
Check filters are tight

Open the front door on the right side and verify all water filters (②–⑥) are firmly seated. Close the door.

4
Plug in & switch on

Connect to a grounded outlet with at least a 10A circuit breaker. Use a dedicated socket — do not share with other appliances. Press the yellow power switch to ON.

5
First flush (mandatory)

Let the machine run until the water level indicator on the display reaches 3/4. Then drain all water from the two white plastic outlets at the back. This flushes the system before first use.

6
Enable hot & cold

Flip the red switch (heating) and green switch (cooling) on the rear to ON. Wait at least 30 minutes before dispensing — water needs time to reach 85°C (hot) and 6°C (cold).

7
Ready to use

Your AWG 20L is now producing, purifying and storing water. The AWG icon on the display will light up while it's working.

Getting water out

Cold water

Hold your glass under the cold tap and push the tap handle with the glass to dispense. Make sure the green cold switch on the back is ON and at least 30 minutes have passed.

Hot water — 85°C

Press and hold the anti-hot safety button first, then push the hot tap handle with your cup. Hot water is scalding — keep skin clear of the nozzle.

Water level

The water level icon on the display shows how full the upper tank is — 4 bars = full (approx. 12L). The machine continues producing until full, then pauses and resumes as needed.

Auto-recirculation

Every 6 hours the machine automatically recirculates stored water through the filters to keep it fresh. This runs silently in the background — no action needed.

Filter replacement schedule

The display will show the filter number (①–⑧) when a replacement is due. Order replacement filters from AquaFromAir to maintain warranty coverage.

#FilterWhat it doesReplace every
Air Filter Blocks dust and micro-particles before air enters 3 months*
Softening Filter (SFT) Removes calcium and magnesium ions 6 months
Sediment Filter (PPF) Removes particles over 5 microns 6 months
Ultrafiltration (UF) Removes particles under 0.01 microns including microplastics 12 months
Pre-Carbon Filter (GAC) Absorbs chlorine, pesticides and organic compounds 6 months
Electropositive Membrane (ELE) Removes viruses, bacteria and trace pharmaceuticals 6 months
LED UV Lamp (bottom tank) Kills bacteria in collected water 18 months
LED UV Lamp (top tank) Final sterilisation before dispensing 18 months

* Air filter interval depends on local air quality — check more frequently in dusty environments. After replacing any filter, reset the warning: hold SET for 3 seconds → select the blinking icon → press OK.

Replacing water filters ②–⑥
  1. Unplug the machine
  2. Open the front door on the right side
  3. Turn the filter counter-clockwise and pull downwards
  4. Some water may drip — this is normal
  5. Press the new filter upward and turn clockwise to lock
  6. Close the door, plug back in, reset the filter warning
Replacing the air filter ①
  1. Unplug the machine
  2. Pull the air filter out from the side panel
  3. Clean with tap water or compressed air, or replace
  4. Reinsert and reset the filter warning

LED UV lamp replacement (⑦ & ⑧) requires partial disassembly — refer to the full manual or contact AquaFromAir support.

Common issues

Unit doesn't turn on
Check the power cable is fully plugged in and the yellow power switch is ON. Check the socket and circuit breaker.
Turned on but not making water
Check room temperature (15–45°C) and humidity (minimum 30%). Check the air filter — if dirty, clean or replace it. Ensure the air intake and exhaust vents are not blocked.
Water not hot or cold enough
Make sure the red (heating) and green (cooling) switches on the rear are ON. Allow at least 30 minutes after switching on for temperatures to stabilise.
Noisy or vibrating
Ensure the unit is on a level surface and in a vertical upright position. Check that the adjustable feet are set evenly.
Switched off for more than 2 days
Drain all tanks before restarting and flush with 10–15 litres of clean water before drinking. See the full manual, section 11.1.
Switched off for more than a week
Replace all water filters and fully disinfect the machine before use. See the full manual, section 11.3.
